Thanksgiving. On clearance. In October.
It's still three weeks away.
When did we start just skipping this holiday?
You pretty much just complained that they're not making you pay full price for Thanksgiving decorations.
And yes, I'll admit I don't get the deal with Thanksgiving being an Aussie and all, but I would have thought that it would be awesome to save money on decorating for a holiday weekend.
And from the sounds of it, the retail stores aren't exactly skipping the holiday, they're just putting more emphasis on the more profitable holiday that comes shortly afterwards. But who cares? I thought Thanksgiving was more of a family and friend holiday, sort of like my families Sunday Roasts, but with a tiny bit of history (but who outside of elementary school acknowledges the Pilgrams and Natives?) and a strong need to watch Grid-Iron football?
I say enjoy the savings you get from the stores putting the Thanksgiving stuff on clearance and just stuff yourself stupid on the day.
And try not to go homicidal due to the X-Mas carols playing non-stop. It gets a little harder every year to stay sane, trust me, I know."Having a Christian threaten me with hell is like having a hippy threaten to punch me in my aura."
