Now, I hate lowrisers; they don't look flattering on me cuz I have a slight muffin top. Unlike a lot of the female population *cough*chavettes*cough* I prefer to wear clothes that cover my stomach and are flattering; and that means high waisted jeans. I much prefer skirts when I go out but sometimes only jeans will do.

I can't wear high waisted jeans no matter what because it makes me look like I have a fupa (or a gunt as it's also called) and I lose my shape.

I used to feel the same way, before I accidentally bought a couple of pairs of low rise jeans. I've found that low rise jeans in my size actually reduce the appearance of muffin top I get due to the way weight accumulates on my frame.

I found that even after gaining a little weight on my bottom half, it still looks fine with low rise jeans. My actual hipbones sit a few inches higher than the full part of my hips, so as long as the jeans fit around the full part of my hips, it works.

The only real problem I am having with jeans right now other than the fact that skinny jeans have dominated all stores is that every pair of jeans is stretch jeans. I HATE it. I don't want to have to fry my jeans in the dryer so that they are too tight when I put them on, so that they fit two hours later perfectly, but 4 hours later, my underoos are hanging out.

I hate this stretch thing. Jeans should not stretch out several sizes bigger over a matter of hours.

They also feel uncomfortable to me, as tho they might be slipping down my hips.

              Two words: pocketless jeans.

I agree. *sigh* I hate buying a pair of jeans that fit nearly perfectly only to have them hanging off of me after wearing them twice.

Oh man, women's pants are the worst for this. Not only are there no pockets half the time but there are fake pockets that are sewn shut.

Women don't need pockets; that's what purses are for. Pocketless jeans are for something else...

Okay? You know not all women carry purses right? Also I don't know what specific purpose pocketless jeans would have. *shrugs*

I could not agree with you more! I despise "stretch" jeans.

It makes it impossible to get the right fit in the store. One saleswoman actually told me to buy them uncomfortably tight, because otherwise the ass of the jeans will be hanging down to the backs of my knees as they become stretched out over the course of the day.

                        So these are my options?

                        a) Look like a slut for the first half of the day, normal for the rest of the day,

                        or:

                        b) Look normal for the first half of the day, like a bag lady for the second half.

                        Stretch jeans suck.

I do like a bit of elastic in my jeans, as it makes them more comfy. But I'm a big girl, so fashion can't be a high priority.
