I'm not too sure how much this relates, but those stupid "survey" things and other popups that my blocker can't get, you cannot exit out of because clicking on the X tricks you and TAKES you to the damn thing you were trying to get rid of (!!!!!), or the ones that since you can't get rid of you try to move the mouse around and it just follows you and blocks whatever you are trying to read.

Whoever invented those needs to die. I am not joking. That person needs to die a horrible, slow, painful death.

They never used to be that intrusive until a couple of years ago. I hate the ones that follow you around until you click. No, I don't want to take your fucking survey! And if it's on how I feel about your website, than you don't want me taking it. Especially since most of the time, I get those popups when I first visit the website.

      STUPID!

On a related note, my popup blocker sucks the big one. Many unwanted popups get through, but the so called popups I intentionally click on are blocked. WTF? Can't it tell the difference?

My popup blocker is pretty short bus as well.

And yes that's what I meant, those stupid pop ups that follow you around, the ones you cannot exit or get rid of, or just the talking or videos that play without you clicking on it.

I ran into an ad on Yahoo mail, I think, that didn't have a close box and was covering a menu.
"My in-laws are country people and at night you can hear their distinctive howl."

I usually run into those when I am searching for something. I wish my protection wouldn't tell me things are safe when they aren't.

Another design annoyance: Those damn slideshows. Every time there's a link to a top 10 article on my home page, it's a freaking slideshow. Do they really need a slideshow just to list the top 10 cities? All it does is take longer to go through.
