So my new job has been making wreaths. Yay. It's actually not that bad, because I get to stand there and completely zone out. Like really zone out. I'm GONE most of the day. Plus I'm good at it - I make awesome looking wreaths.....
Or so I thought. Today, the quality control lady comes up to me and says a bunch of my wreaths have been rejected because "they suck". I was a little miffed at this because it should have been "ONE wreath you sent was rejected", not wait until I have like 20 of them before telling me.
But, I know my mouth gets me into trouble, so I held my tongue, nodded, and tried to make better wreaths. I paid a little more attention to the placement of the brush (the part of the tree the wreath is made out of, in case anyone didn't know).
Then after lunch, same QC lady comes up to me and says "You better shape up your wreaths or you'll get sent home and you will NOT be coming back."
"What's wrong with my wreaths?"
"They suck."
"What SPECIFICALLY is wrong with my wreaths?"
"They just look really shitty."
Ok, so they're shitty, and they suck. Awesome! Now I know everything I need to know about wreaths!
Then she comes by later bitching about the quality of the brush in my wreaths. Ok, so, as quality control, she should know that I have no control over the quality of the brush put in my bin. Why doesn't she go bitch at the guy who went out in the woods and got it? I ask her what to do with it, and she says throw it out.
Which leads to me getting bitched at for throwing it away.....
Later on the supervisor comes by, looks at my wreath, and says "Yeah, good job man." Same wreaths I've been making, and same as the ones i made last year when they used to show them off to the rest of the crew and say "THIS is what a wreath should look like!"
So finally, towards the end of the day when I'm about to punch someone in the face I'm so confused and agitated, a different QC comes by and finally tells me what I'm doing wrong with the wreaths. I get it straightened out and everything is hunky-dory for now.
But dammit I hate being confused!!!!!
