I guess I'm weird, then. I can't brush my teeth with anything but cold water. I use extra soft brissled brushes if I can find them, otherwise just soft.

There's toothpaste on the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom at my bf's place...it's mostly his brother's bathroom......I'm dying to know how it got there.

Supposedly, brushing with more extreme water temperatures does low-level nerve damage that over time can lead to tooth decay.

So, there's a distinct possibility that your monitor and keyboard could be the victims of a Rule #1 violation, not only from food or drink, but toothpaste as well?

I only rinse with warm water, I can't stand cold water on my teeth at all

Yeah, me too. My teeth are sensitive to cold and heat, so everything I drink is sorta room temperature.

Oh, chill out. I never once said that it's "sucky" so there is no suck to fail to find. I did express that I find it yucky. Did I ever say that I think people who do it are gross? No.

                Was that really even necessary?

Wow, touchy. The joking comment was directed my way. You can stand down.

Actually, HYHYBT is pretty vocal about his dislike of the rules of "FTSTS", and he and I have butted heads in at least two threads about that issue on CS, being on total opposite ends of the spectrum.

                      Oh FFS. Play nice, OK?

Back on topic here, I've always kept my toothbrush in the medicine cabinet. Why? Because my cats will chew on it, or play with it. They play with everything else, so it's only safe to assume that my toothbrush would end up in all sorts of nasty places. Not the toilet though--that's always closed. Not because I fear the "poop spray," but because the cats stand on the toilet to look out the window. I don't know about you...but I don't want to find a drowned cat when I come home

I keep mine in the cabinet as well, even while living alone (completely) and no worries of pets or family members. My cats were more interested in drinking from the toilet, trying to be like the dog, or unrolling the toilet paper when I was at home.

When I was still at home, we had a little caddy for toothbrushes, but that thing kind of freaked me out and I for some reason didn't think it was clean, so I got one of those travel toothbrush holders and kept it secured in the cabinet by itself. I'm a weirdo like that. Yes, I am one of those crazy people who goes mad when all the different foods on the plate touch.

By the way, the poop spray is real, I am not that crazy. Mythbusters proved it. Although, I refuse to keep the toilet shut because I think it doesn't air out properly if you keep it shut.

I'm a little intrigued by the idea of brushing your teeth in the shower. I didn't know people did that. I always brush over the sink. I also don't wander through the house whle I brush. I'm a little intrigued by the thought of doing that, too. Don't you have a problem leaking toothpaste all over the place while doing that?

Personally, I shave in the shower, so my razor is always kept in there. That's the only activity that is stereotypically done over the sink that I do in the shower.

I haven't found any toothpaste on the laptop. I do find it in the sink, but I think that comes from spitting.

Typically I always rinse that stuff out too I work too hard cleaning the bathrooms every week to let it get gross during the week.
