  • I'm going to write a letter!

This is mainly about my mom. The past few weeks she's been kind of going a little overboard writing letters to places and people. It started with writing to the Law Society about the lawyer that handled her separation agreement, which was a reasonable thing to write about. Then she decided to write to the SPCA about how the vets in her town are overcharging (they really are, $250 to neuter a cat, and a nearly 2 year wait, but I digress). Again that's fine, not sure what the SPCA would even do about it, but whatever. But then she was telling me she wrote a letter to Michael Moore about something she disagreed with that he said in some interview, this was one fairly small point out of everything he said mind you, she generally agrees with what he says.

Then she was trying to put music on the ipod she just bought, and she was having a hard time figuring it out (There is no headache like trying to explain how to set an electronic device up to a parent over the phone ). So her brillant idea was that they should make ipods that have the album already on them, like fore each individual album. Yeah I know...so she wrote to apple telling them that they should do that and asking why their product is so complicated to set up (yeah I know...).

It's just driving me insane lately, because whatever happens, even if it's because she doesn't want to understand something (like the ipod), she writes a letter (e-mail) to whoever.

A two year wait to neuter a cat!?

See if I can remember the complex process of putting music on a new iPod.... 1) turn on computer; 2) connect iPod to computer; 3) fill out a brief onscreen form for the iPod's name, etc; 4) wait while the computer does its job, as everything from here in is automatic. If you can't do that, get someone who knows how to use a computer to go on eBay for you and buy a record player.

Yeah, and there are two vets in a town of less than 20000, yet the one in the town a ways down the road can manage to handle basically 3 towns worth of pets without that kind of wait, and for cheaper.

:P Yes, and I even set up the thing for her. All she has to do is put music on it...it took me 3 tries to get her to understand that she can in fact drag and drop music into itunes.

Speaking of ITunes...I know I asked this somewhere recently but don't remember if it was here or cs or which thread now sorry

With ITunes, I have my ipod setup to automatically sync with my library each time I connect it. My bf has an ipod with his own set of songs that isn't connected to a library or set to auto sync, Can ITunes handle that on the same computer? Can he hook his up without messing up my ipod or library?

        Thanks...

I'm not absolutely, 100% certain (but am about 97%) it's the same on Windows, but for the Mac version, the iTunes library is within your user account. If you have different logins, then the libraries will be kept separate as well.

Hmmm I hadn't thought of it in terms of logins....must be automatic. I'll check it out though thanks.
