It's stupid because they don't work for you?

I've already posted valid reasons for why they make sense. It helps prevent people from abusing meds.

And I already posted reasons why the law is stupid. I don't even see how it prevents people from abusing meds when they already have the prescription filled out. It can be filled out ahead of time so I don't know why it matters when it's turned in. And quite frankly, I don't care if people abuse meds. It's stupid, but it's their own choice and making laws preventing them from making that choice is even stupider. Especially if it makes it more difficult for those who actually need the meds.

I care because what good does it do for the world to allow people to abuse drugs? It doesn't do a damn thing in making the world a better place.

It prevents people from abusing meds so they can't stockpile scripts and gets tons of pills at once.

I would think people would stockpile pills not to abuse them themselves but to sell to others....that would be the biggest concern.

There have been repeated cases of people abusing their medications, dying, and there families suing doctors and pharmacies over it. And winning. Until tort reform goes through in this country, regulations exist to protect us in the medical and pharmaceutical fields from the stupidity and greed of our patients.

And that is exactly why we have regulations on everything we have regulations for. Without them, people will try and cheat and/or abuse the system.
