To give a little background on this, and without getting into "TMI mode", I was 18 when I first had sex, and was only with the guy a few times before getting pregnant. I don't recall exactly how my family members had all reacted at the time, only that my sister, "Patty" told me I was nasty and a slut.
Come to find out recently, she apparently admitted that she'd started having sex at 15, and was with two different guys before getting with her husband. (and my guess is that some of that was going on around the time I got pregnant)
Where the double standard gripe comes in is that Patty is NOT considered a slut for not having waited for marriage, but I am.........granted, things have calmed down over the years, but my family members still assume I'm going to have sex with the next guy I meet and get pregnant.
