screw valentines day, i want the discounted (but still very yummy) choklit!

and dislike valentines day due to that i was the odd one out or the weird one in class and only got cards out of obligation. Past that once I moved to middle school and the card thing stopped everyone else but me got anything.

so once high school came just to feel better and continue being odd i would be the one to order the blue carnation and wear it. someone finally asked me why wear blue on v-day. because i like blue and i associate red more with anger and hate - and gangs because sadly our school was close to a gang territory at the time - than love.
SO until I finally moved out of my home state did the disdain and loathing of v-day continued. now its just dislike. mostly for the commercialism of it as any day can be a day to be romantic you don't need the one sanctioned day for it. or as one person said send flowers or whatever item he she likes JUST BECAUSE (when able to that is)

I got my joke gift chocolate half price (2 days before hand at that) though £2 was a bit much considering the size of em, not much bigger than rolo's (do they still use the tag line "do you love anyone enough to give them your last rolo"?) still office ladies enjoyed em.
most chocolate boxes stocked seemed to be the kind of any time gift boxes not just obvious valentines, so no luck with discounts on alot of em.

Mmm... Gotta love the discount VDay candy.

I got some heart-shaped York peppermint patties, a couple of heart-shaped boxes of Hershey's Hugs & Kisses (that's rather brilliant, actually), and some mint nougat things that I didn't end up eating any of. (gave away most of the candy at the convention)

someone finally asked me why wear blue on v-day. because i like blue and i associate red more with anger and hate - and gangs because sadly our school was close to a gang territory at the time - than love.

Wait what? Gangs? The Bloods are the main gang with red as their color. But the Crips, their main rivals, are blue. Red and blue are both gang colors.
