I wouldn't let them into my home, either. Likewise, if someone is going to door to door for whatever reason, I really don't think it's safe for them to go into people's houses. It's probably not wise for either party to do this.

We live a couple miles away from a Kingdom Hall and there are a lot of Jehovah's Witnesses in our area, so needless to say they come knocking on our door quite a bit.

I am always polite to them, and tell them I'm not interested, have a nice day and close the door. It's short to the point and polite. I don't give them a chance to argue with me or try to convert me, or tell me my beliefs are wrong.

A lot of the time when they come knocking at the door, I just ignore it. I would never invite Jehovah's Witnesses or any other type of door to door solicitor into my house. I'm frequently alone with two small children, and I don't feel it's safe.

Exactly. I'm a woman living alone, so you can bet your life I'm not about to invite strangers into my flat.
"Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."
