Facebook, for me, is a very fast, efficient way to share the nonsense and blather in my head with friends. (It's also, by far, the easiest way to plan an event.) I only use e-mail for important communication. The Facebook settings aren't difficult to work, you just have to spend some time setting everything up and stay on top of any changes.

Facebook and email are two quite radically different animals.

        I agree with that.

Although it does make me wonder (besides the obvious like bosses or coworkers, if you're in a certain position), if you have to pre-set certain people to only see certain things, is it even worth it?

Or, you could do what my bf's family does when they get mad at one another.....they delete/block each other! Then when they make up, they re-add one another. It's hilarious.

To this day, bf and his brother have deleted and re-added one another at least a handfull of times.

That's just too much work. It's easier to just have a "doghouse" list and put the offender on it.
