  • I don't get over-sized headphones at all, either.

And don't worry Greenday, I don't judge all Jersey people because of those idiots. But I do blame the idiots on the show for inspiring idiots in places like, oh, Wisconsin, to try and look and act like they do.

    • New horrible trend at the moment that I'm seeing....

      knee-length harem pants.

Also what's with the floral jeans? HIDEOUS!

I had a pair of those, tiny little flowers on bootleg jeans.... about 30 years ago.

Harem pants though.... they just don't look comfortable!

        • Harem pants should only be worn as part of a costume.

But I'd totally wear floral pants, as long as the pattern wasn't too large.

          • I had bellbottoms with little daisies on them when the bellbottom craze hit big in the mid-90's. I can't imagine wearing them now, but that's just because...where once there was a small flower bed lays an entire meadow.

            • Oh, this is more like the entire fabric is printed with a floral pattern on them. They look like someone's couch cushions.

Those are very like the pattern my jeans were years ago
                I loved those jeans.

                • No more cargo pants? Wtf? I love a nice baggy pair of cargo pants with tons of deep pockets. You literally cannot find a real pair anymore.

My mom managed to find a couple pairs at Wal Mart that happened to be my size. They aren't as baggy as my loose fit jeans (Which is lame). The pockets? Not nearly as deep as they should be. At least the pockets on my right side are good enough. I generally store a pen in one of those while I work.

Why are they no longer in? What dumbasses decided this?

Hmmm I see cargo pants all the time at my local Mal-Wart. In fact I buy Dickies cargo pants for work. that way I can keep my phone and stuff in one cargo pocket and coin change in the other without tearing the regular pockets to shreds.

Now granted the other brands of cargo pants are on the cheap side.....

                    • Um, Greenday, where have you been the last year or so? EVERY guy is supposed to be wearing those god forsaken disgusting SKINNY JEANS. Cuz, ya know, it looks so manly to have skin tight jeans and a saggy ass butt that hangs down to your knees. And don't forget oversized bright neon sneakers!

Cargo pants for guys must be as hard to come by as flare jeans for girls.

Another rant: "Curvy fit" jeans for girls, even in the juniors department. I do NOT wear my jeans up to my belly button, I thank you, just because I'm curvy. I can still pull off low rise pants. So, I just stick to straight bootcut leg, if that's all I can find. Just because a girl has big hips doesn't mean she needs to wear mom jeans.

                      • Now see I hate low rise jeans and would not be comfortable in them even if I could pull them off. I like my mom jeans

                        • If you have a long hipline, then low rise jeans aren't going to work for you.

I have a very short hipline, so typical low rise jeans end up in the vicinity of my waist, while standard rise jeans end up rather past it.

I've mentioned elsewhere, but low rise in the right size and fit shouldn't show off ass crack or produce muffin top. I've actually got a pair of "super low rise" jeans (I didn't notice when I bought them >_< ) that most people would be hard pressed to even identify as low rise because they were actually designed with my body type in mind.

If you've got a butt, then get juniors sizes (odds; 5, 7, 9, 11, etc). If you carry your weight in your belly instead, then get misses sizes (evens: 6, 8, 10, 12, etc).

It drives me crazy that it gets very difficult to find juniors sizes in the higher numbers. I wear a size 15; I don't have the belly required to make a 16 work. I just end up with it too tight in back and with this poofy pouch of extra fabric in front. >_<

Forgive my ignorance, but I always thought junior sizes were merely something like 0-6 or something. Misses were 7-16 or whatever, and then over 16 were plus sizes. I never knew juniors was simply odds, and went up to 15 or higher. I guess you learn something new every day.

                            • Yep, Juniors are odd-numbered, and usually run from 0-13 or 15 (occasionally you'll see a 17, but it's rare). Misses run 0-14 or 16, and plus is usually 16+, although some plus-size brands start at 12 or 14. Then you have petite, which is just misses but cut for shorter women. I've never seen petite plus at a department store, which sucks for bigger, but shorter, folks.

                              • Nope. That's a common mis-conception. In women's clothing, juniors vs misses is about the fit. A lot of the problem is in the naming, really.

I've seen juniors go up to 17 (very rarely), but they usually stop at 13 (just below what I wear). Here is an article over on the eBay forums that gives a good basic outline of how women's sizes work. I'm definitely going to have to check into the "juniors plus" range; even if I am 41 as of last week, my body hasn't changed shape, just gotten larger.
