I've seen pubs introduce smart-casual dress codes just to keep out the pajama people. They wear dressing gowns instead of coats when it starts to get cold. I don't know if it's better or worse that they actually have specific pajamas for going out and different ones for sleeping in.

For some reason, Supre (one of the more "trashy" stores down here) has put out a much more "modest" summer trend: maxi dresses and skirts with a split up to the thigh. Now THAT I don't mind SO much....if they don't do them in fluoro. >.>
My usual day-to-day "dress code" consists of dresses and skirts, with a t-shirt.
