    These are rules from the USA military. USMCJ (I think that's the correct acronym) applies over all USA personnel whether they are military, civilian, or contractors.

    I don't know about all the other countries, but as far as I know GB, France, Germany, and Poland don't have any similar rule.

      That's surprising - the UK is usually pretty uptight about such matters as well. You may want to ask any Brits you meet about that.

        The sad part is...that's less restrictive than it was when I was in the desert. No members of the opposite sex could be in your room at *any* time, no sexual contact, period, and their definition of 'pornography' included things like the sports illustrated swimsuit issue and maxim and the like. That was for active duty military, at least, not sure of the restrictions on others. Hanging out with other services was, at the least, strongly discouraged, because they didn't have the same rules.

          Maxim and SI swimsuit are sold at the PX.

          We can hang out with people from other countries, just no subvert them or drink with them even if it's legal in their areas.
