Since my regular hospital suddenly decided to refuse my insurance (thanks for telling me three freaking years after you actually made the decision, claiming I owe you $3K but refusing to offer proof of the bills you say you sent and humiliating me in the process by escorting me out of the building) I've started going to the PP clinic across town for my exams/pills/whatever.
My appointment was on Friday morning so I thought I'd escape the antiabortion nutballs that are there on the weekends. Not quite. They were setting up their fun little posters outside when I arrived (I did note that they were violating the clearly marked minimum-distance, so let the security guards know) and were in full swing when I left. Still violating the distance rule but a cop car was idling nearby.
I snarled at one pro-lifer who actually tried to grab me (do not touch me before I've had my coffee, hell if I don't know you do not touch me at all) and snapped at another to "go take care of the orphans you're forcing into the world" (that actually made the woman stop and stare, I think I broke her brain). I find it sad that they assume anyone entering or leaving is there for an abortion (there is an actual abortion clinic down the street; the only sign it's a clinic are the pro-lifers with their posters in full view of little kids walking to school, which IMO is worse than the clinic's just existing there quietly).
