    Old enough???

I'm thinking more "what were the kids listening to again??"

I never got that... other than it doesn't matter what era you grow up in, you're not supposed to be happy with 'your lot' in life.
ZOE: Preacher, don't the Bible got some pretty specific things to say about killing?

SHEPHERD BOOK: Quite specific. It is, however, Somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

I guess emo doesn't bug me all that much. Especially since I was in what was considered the goth croud when I was in high school. *shrug* The part nearly all the way to the ear and hair falling in the face thing every so often sets off a small bit of ocd and bugs me but that's my only issue.

As for Steven Segal (who wasn't in the original topic but was brought up) sometimes it's just amusingly comforting to watch the movies. Things may happen, but he'll always be exmilitary and save the day while brooding about the past. I don't take them seriously and I don't like the newer ones where you can tell he's getting old but there's just something amusing about them and I enjoy watching them.

That reminds me, I should've brought that old copy of, "Invasion: U.S.A." with me when I moved. Then again, I don't have a working VCR player. Is it on DVD, now?

Most of those flicks are just so *bad* you can't help but laugh Of course if you really want bad acting, watch anything with David Caruso in it. Whenever he tries to act tough on CSI:Miami, I can't help but crack up.

            With regards to Chuck Norris:

I never did like those. The only time I liked them was when I heard people playing horde say how they're mature and responsible. I just point them over to barrens chat, which the Chuck Norris notes stemmed from and pretty much consist of it. I see those as proof of a loss in faith in humanity.

            With regards to emos:

Yup, can't stand them, though it is by my own choice. I just can't stand a bunch of spoiled brats who insult goths and people suffering from depression so they can get attention. These crybabies have a better life than I ever had, getting ungodly spoiled rotten, crying how their life sucks, quaffing (someone else's) anti-depressants like they're candy, and slicing their wrists for nothing else than so people look at them.

Just to clarify; most emo kids' chicken scratches on their wrists are in no way pertaining to self harm. This is why I hate them; what they're doing is cheapening self harm so that genuine sufferers will be too afraid of being labeled emo to get help. I once went up to an emo girl showing off the scratches she'd made on her arms with her compass and showed her this nasty scar on my arm, where I cut my arm so badly with a knife that it needed stitches, and told her what a fake she was and how thanks to her, another genuine self harmer refuses to get help.

Just for the record, it was the Cult of Richey morons who stopped me from getting the help I needed back when I was self harming regularly.

and they use it purely to get attention-which may keep someone form noticing someone who is genuinely depressed and contemplating suicide. You see 50 people "acting depressed" every day you are going to be desensitized to the one that has gotten quiet, withdrawn, and is actually showing the warning signs of impending suicidal thoughts/actions. I wonder how many recent suicides could have been prevented had it not been for "emos" blurring the vision of those that could have helped?

Exactly. Also, a lot of teens claim depression when what they have is bog standard teenage angst; to put it bluntly, if you can function as a human being, you are not depressed. Having suffered from clinical depression myself, I find it very insulting when a stupid emo teen says they're depressed, just cuz their parents make them do chores.

                    Chuck Norris facts...
they were silly, in a funny way, the first time, but then they just got annoying...

                    Emos
they're odd... i mean... my shrink told me i had a depression, but i never grew black and red hair, and went around showing off my scars, nor complain about how everyone's got it great compared to me... i wonder where they got that from.

They simply enjoy the attention. As someone who has had to deal with depression most of his life, well, they just piss me off. I just want to tell them to quit fucking whining and suck it up

Why is everyone bashing on the Emos? Just give them a minute and they'll do it themselves.

I'd say the Kiss movie Phantom Of The Park for really terrible acting. I watch it for laughs; it's so bad, it's good. XD

As for emos; I got really annoyed with an emo on another site who kept posting her terrible poetry. -.- It honestly was awful; no scanning or even an attempt at a rhyming scheme, just lots of big words thrown in in an attempt to make her look clever.
