Stupid tv!!!!!

My LIFELINE of home is the fact that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Dora the Explorer are on like alll friggin morning. It also helps that I can save them with the DVR. I can usually guarantee that I've got 2 hours every morning where little girl is watching those shows and actually get some stuff done.

But for some reason they've stopped taping. I even checked the options - disk isn't full, I've got it recording every episode whether it's new or not, and I still check and there's nothing saved but the guide says its playing all over the place.

And to those naysayers who want to bitch cuz I let me kids watch a lot of tV - my 3 year old speaks better spanish than most high schoolers. So you can suck on that.

Dr.Farook, did you do a system check to make sure nothing's wrong with the DVR's hard drive? I would say for you to call your cable/satellite provider's tech support line to troubleshoot why it stopped recording your kid's shows on the DVR. If I have kids, they can watch all the Dora and Sesame Street they want, they can learn a great deal of good stuff on those shows.

Does it record other things? If it does, is there any pattern to what it will and will not take? (Only kid's shows, for instance, or only certain channels?) Can you do manual recordings?

A couple hours of TV while you get stuff done around the house isnt bad. Especially at that age. My nephew watched the holy crap out of Thomas the Tank engine and he is athletic and gets straight A's.
