People who use the same old jokes over and over again. The "joke" itself can be a story, a quick quote, a joke from online or a book, or something someone once said, or something cruel about someone, anything, that a person uses constantly, over long periods of time, and eventually, they are the only ones laughing. Most of the time, they don't even understand that their "zingers" are recycled, several year old jokes that everyone has heard over and over and don't understand why it's not funny anymore. Hell, some people even get offended if you tell them it's old or not funny anymore, or say something of the sort to kind of give them the hint, and they have the nerve to ask if you're mad at them or what's wrong?
One joke is something I once said last spring at work. I basically made a metaphoric referrence to a sexual act in comparison to a high risk sport, and sure, it was hella funny. One guy, thought it was so funny, that this went on for months and months. I mean, even by about July, it got flipping annoying. I had to watch my mouth, because if I made any reference to the rear end (aka, "Shift lead is up my ass again" or "Boss is riding me hard again"), I'd hear the quips about the sport. Again. And again. And again. I mean, maybe I'm an asshole, but after a few months, I started to just cringe when he'd open up his mouth about the damn sport. I finally said something about a month or so ago, something real casual like "Wow, that joke sure's been going on for a long time", and I got the evil Look I was expecting, but ever since, I haven't heard about the "sport" again, so it was definitely worth it.
My Dad has been quoting Fat Bastard ever since the second Austin Powers movie came out, and the third. Any time we have chicken for supper, he asks "Want some chicken, I got more!" har har har har he goes on and on laughing. Same with the fart and shit jokes. I mean, this has been going on for 10 years!
Some people who aren't as people-people, I've noticed, will take things you've said that they've interpreted as rude or whatever, and will constantly throw them back at you as a retort when you ask them a question or say something to them. Yeah, I know, a thousand times over, I called you a dork, even though I never actually called you a dork, but you took it that way, so whenever I ask for your help at work, you say "But you called me a dork, remember?" Yeah. This happened 3 years ago.
Perhaps I'm once again being petty and an asshole, but I don't get why some people think they are so damn funny. I understand some of the more awkward type of people recycle jokes and quotes because they may be afraid of making new jokes, but it's just annoying. Stuff quits being funny after so long. And while I didn't really have any good examples of, really mean jokes or stories involving someone getting humilitated or ostracized are really not funny.
