    You're weird, lol.

I get a cold hand on myself and all I want to do is start kicking.

Clearly I've been in the desert with a bunch of guys way too long. Doesn't take much to excite me anymore.

well Friday night it "snowed" for a couple of hours and my pizza place got killed (had 300 orders for the day and even for a Friday that is a lot)

YES Houston we HAVE a white Christmas and I do NOT care what the "official" standing of the weather service says. there is SNOW on the ground = white Christmas.

Well, Christmas is nearly over. Upper 60s and sunny. No snow at all here, just some stuff blowing up.

It's Christmas Day, and my part of Ohio still hasn't seen any snow. It really isn't even all that cold out today. According to my desktop, it's 44 F, and if I recall correctly from the news, we're supposed to be in the high thirties this time of year. A few days ago, the newscasters were saying there would be a chance of snow Tuesday or Wednesday, but now it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Some people don't like it and think there should be snow if it's cold, but I'd say they got their fair share of that stuff during the previous two winters.

Another thought: My brother is a lineman/troubleshooter for an electric company. A 'white' Christmas for everyone else means a 'working for 18 hours straight' Christmas for him and a 'ruined' Christmas for my niece and nephew.

I can still see grass, it's not a white Christmas, it's a nasty snerty Christmas. My car looks like shit.

No snow here either. Don't care. I like it this way. It's been cold and we've had some crazy wind, but that's it. NOT looking forward to snow, since none of my lawn-obsessed neighbors think it's necessary to shovel their damn sidewalks (city laws? who cares?), so it's exhausting just getting to the bus stop on work days.

I can deal with cold, just keep the snow off!

I don't like the cold, but I'll take it over the snow. But what's really awful is right after a bad snowstorm, we usually get arctic air for several days/weeks afterwards that freezes and encrusts everything.

Now that I'm better about housekeeping, and I've got my floors to the point where a weekly cleaning turns up a barely dirty sponge, I shudder at the thought that we're in the time of year where I have to take my shoes off before I go in the door or do extra cleanings by the door.

That, and washing the car isn't really an option, save for this winter because it's been so mildly warm. Usually, car washes close when it goes below freezing, so after a snowstorm and your car is full of dirty snow and salt, you can't wash it anyway, and it depreciates and ruins your lovely paint job.

                        Badabump.

Well, here we are in February. And it looks like March outside, temperatures and grass poking out, melting snow and all. It hasn't snowed for a week.

                        It's beautiful.

By far, this is the mildest, easiest travelling winter weather I've ever experienced. Only a few days of few inches of snow and random little slick days or dustings to an inch, nothing extraordinary.

And I love it. If every winter was like this, I'd never want to leave Wisconsin.

Also, the fact that we've only had a hand full or less of below zero days (and only 2 days in January that were double digit below zero!) also helps.

All the whiners can suck it. And suck it hard. My floor is thanking me every day for not bothering the living hell out of it by cleaning it every day and having to bust my balls shoveling. It's also nice to not have to roll my damn pants up every time I go outside. The property management can probably STFU about the cost of heat, because we haven't really had to use much, either.

There is some genuine concern here, because we haven't had hardly any hard freezes and I fear what the bug population will look like this summer. But, it sounds like you guys have had a nice mix up there.

Actually, this mild winter has been a blessing in disguise for me, since my winter coats don't fit properly and I couldn't afford a new one.

January was slightly active in the fact that we had quite a few days of dustings or an inch or so, not to mention that really cold weather right before my bday.

I can't recall if it was late in December or early in January, but one day it was nearly 50 degrees and there were bugs all over the outside of my building here. They must have thought it was time to come out. And some flowers were trying to bud.

Damn, Admin, you totally just popped my happy bubble. I HATE bugs.

I do agree with the attire thing, because I don't own a winter coat that fits properly or I don't hate how I look in. I try to get away with lighter jackets and just wearing lots of shirts or a hoodie under them.

It also helps it hasn't been too awful, this is the first winter I haven't put on a few extra hibernation pounds. But, there is one thing I'll always like about winter....long sleeve shirts. No one can see how fat my upper arms are when I'm wearing longer sleeves.

I planned my vacation for February expecting it to be cold and snowy back home. Turns out, the weather here in Auckland is rather similar to home. Wtf!? Isn't it supposed to be summer here? Hopefully it gets warmer this week.

Back home, we were having problems with the stink bugs. I was killing about two or three a day.

I have to agree with blas, if every winter was like this one, it'd be wonderful. It's great for me not having to worry about not being able to get out of my drive--or even to my car, for that matter! My cat is also loving it, as he can be outside more often than he usually is in the winter. We're supposed to have highs in the 20s this week, and you know what? I'll take that. One week in the below zero temp range in late January was enough, thanks.

ETA: We've had a lot of Box Elders and Asian Lady Beetles (stinky fuckers) taking up residence in our house recently, but that happens every winter. Damn bugs anyway!
