As far as that goes... eternity isn't going anywhere. Why rush things? If you've gotten to the point where there's no good left in living this life, that's different. It's a real loss to lose someone (pardon the wording) even knowing *they're* better off.
But death *itself* isn't something to celebrate anyway. Sorry, I'm bad at this.... look at how Good Friday is treated (by those who observe it). Even from here, knowing it's shortly followed by Easter's resurrection, Good Friday observances are somber events because death is horrible. It's just no longer final.
