They're an awesome regular season team, but ultimately the regular season is meaningless when you hit the playoffs. Its the playoffs where we have trouble because of the coach. He's very hands off, doesn't talk to the team, doesn't come to practices, doesn't really interact with the much at all. When the team's in a funk, he leaves them to try and work it out themselves. Thats why the team runs so hot and cold, and why they're so erratic when they hit the playoffs.

Coupled with the fact he's incredibly stubborn and refuses to change things that aren't working until its already too late. The Kings ran roughshod over us in game 1 and 2 because they'd studied up on our coach's system and our coach refused to change anything about it despite it not working. Our powerplay system has been awful for months before the playoffs but he's steadfastedly refused to change it. So it bit us in the ass and cost us a game.

It cost us the cup last year when he just kept playing poor Lu in net no matter how much of a shitkicking he was taking. He's only changing things up now because he's starting to realise his job is on the line. -.-

I think a true fan loves their team through good and bad. If they don't make it past this playoff round they are no less in my esteem. They played well through most of the season.
If people didn't love their team, they wouldn't be upset and calling for changes.

Any hockey fan who thinks the Canucks are the dirtest team is delusional.
Agreed, but Boston is a toxic sports town. I've never seen a city so....vehement. Philly might have miserable fans, but Boston they'll literally spit on you in the street for wearing a visiting team jersey if not assault you after a game. When you leave a game in Boston, you take your jersey off and hide it before you get to the parking lot.

I mean, they cheered when one of the Canucks had his spine fractured by one of their players in last years playoffs.
