  • "So Four Seconds Ago"

I just cannot stand the AT&T 4G commercials.

They're pretentious and snobby and the people in them are so incredibly, creepily up in everybody else's business.

I don't like the anorexic T Mobile girl and her orgy wonderland. Bring back Katherine Zeta-Jones.

Yeah, because you know that second longer it takes to download somewhere else is going to make a huge difference. Of course that might explain why people have to speed ahead only to stop at the light 1 second sooner.

        Hmmmm.

Not to mention that after you do so much downloading they slow it down for you. Wonder why they dont advertise that part.

This is actually standard practices for most telecom companies who offer data plans. It generally applies to their "unlimited" plans, where they offer, say, ten gigs of regular-speed downloading, but after that, the speeds are reduced. There's a number of reasons they do it, not all of which I agree with, but of course they're not going to advertise it. That would be bad publicity. It is in the fine print of any contract you sign, however, and almost all companies mention something to you about it before the sign-up process is complete.

So this is not just AT&T, but nearly every North American telecom company.
