It's alright to be a little antisocial. It's fine to prefer being alone or a couple or trio instead of group activities.
What's not ok, to me, is being ok with someone you know or like or are related to adding to the crowd, but not someone I know or like or am related to.
I get it, I get it, you're beyond introverted, extremely socially awkward, and don't like to be around people. But...it's just a damn movie. Get over yourself.
I didn't like group activities with my last boyfriend because all of his friends were criminals and druggies and general losers. That was different. My boyfriend right now just absolutely wants nothing to do with anyone but me. I told my brother that we have to take things slow and we'll start with just a movie and see if he can handle it, if so, maybe we'll plan something later. I told my bf that my brother and his gf would be meeting us for the movie, and he looked downright disappointed.
I have a huge feeling this is why I got a shoulder shrug when I asked if he liked the movie, and why he just decided he wanted to go home a few hours later instead of spend the night. Oh well, I am so used to the silent treatment right now, at least I don't have to drain my cell battery and I'll get some home chores done in the meantime until he gets over his baby fit.
