  • Personal self-contradiction

For example: I love sleeping, hate getting up... but also hate going to bed and tend to put it off as long as possible unless I'm just too exhausted to stay awake any longer.

    Anyone else have one?

Me! But I don't stay up because I feel like dicking off; I just can't sleep a lot of times. Always bugged the crap out of me when people were like "Well it's your own fault you're tired! Go to sleep!" Oh please sir tell me how to work this magic that you obviously possess.

      I hate routine.

      But I thrive on it.

I hate being responsible, but when in a situation that needs leadership, I'll take the reins and get things handled.

And I'm like the OP: hate going to bed, hate getting up, am fine once I'm past the transition, however.

This! I despite routine, but can't seem to function properly without a pretty rigid one.

A strange anomaly? I am not very resistant to change at all. Weird.

I hate getting up early, but do pretty good once I am up and about.

I could also say other things about my physique... and being lazy, but that's probably a different kettle of fish!
ZOE: Preacher, don't the Bible got some pretty specific things to say about killing?

SHEPHERD BOOK: Quite specific. It is, however, Somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

                Another one:

I don't like socializing, but I don't really like being alone.

I tend to be very genuinely hopeful and optimistic towards other people when they need advice or have problems they want to talk about, but I'm very negative when it comes to myself and things I deal with.

I am scared to death of heights.

                      I love free fall rides.

I try to help others think positive. I always anticipate the worst for myself.

I love going to bed, and I love getting up in the mornings, but I don't think that's a contradiction. Neither is putting off going to bed and sleeping in. I'm a morning person, others are night owls. It doesn't have much to do with how much you like to sleep.

I love sleep as much as anyone I've ever known. I nap recreationally.

Here's a BIG contradiction: I'm into health and fitness. I hit the gym religiously, eat nothing but fruits, vegetables, and lean meat, floss daily, wear sunscreen... and I smoke. Not much or often, but when it comes to cigarettes, even one is poison.

Boozy, I thought you'd quit a couple of years ago

Oh well. It happens to the best of us. If it were that easy to never do it again, no one would smoke.

I also nap MORE than recreationally. It's like, a hobby of mine. But...I preach that everyone shouldn't waste their free time, because of the sheer fact that I waste almost all of my free time asleep or just lounging.

I adore being alone and love my own company... yet, I also love attending parties and going down the pub. XD

I hate being bored and having nothing to do... yet, I can at times be incredibly lazy and just spend an entire day doing absolutely nothing constructive.

Also; dunno if this counts, but one of my online mates thinks it's a hilarious contradiction that I'm a fan of heavy metal and rock music... and watch My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. XD
