For the love of all that is holy, what a rotten week. It could be my bad mood...but I swear people are fracking dumb this week. It's driving me crazy.
DA: "Can I talk to <name of person who doesn't work at my company>"
Me: "I'm sorry, I'm afraid there isn't anyone here by that name."
DA: "Yes there is! The <person in charge>, <repeats name of person who doesn't work for my company>. I just talked to her! Can I talk to HR?"
Me: "I'm sorry but this is a private retail phone store..."
DA: "Oh..."
No, I'm freaking lying. I only fucking work here. I have no idea who my co-workers are.
DA2: "Hi! I'm looking for <phone>. How much would my bill be with the new plan for it?"
Me: "I'm sorry, we do not carry that phone. You would need to call <location>."
DA2: "Yes you do. My friend just got hers from you!"
Me:" I'm sorry Miss, but we have never carried that phone."
DA2: "Isn't this the store at <blank location>?"
Me: "Yes it is, and we have never carried that phone."
DA2: "*sigh* Fine, where can I get it?"
Me: "at <location>. Good luck!"
Yes, I have no idea what products we sell. Furthermore, you're right. I DID sell that phone to your friend, but I just hate you.
I like to MAKE money, not lose it. Don't you think I'd tell you if we carried that phone?
Then I had some dumbass argue with me about paying a satellite bill. Even after I explained how things work and the way to go about paying their bill (we only install, after that, call customer service). Even offered to let them use OUR phone to make the call. Customer continued to complain.
I also started the day with some guy who wanted me to give him special pricing on like, all 60 phones we carry. Sorry pal. Pick one, I'll give ya a price. I am NOT sitting here and holding your hand and pointing out pricing/working out deals on 40,000 different fucking phones. This of course, is after he asked for free phones, and I had given him two choices of what I could do free.
