Oh, dear God.
You broke the rules. The rules were clearly set out for you, you broke them anyways, and now you're complaining about the, honestly, really fairly minor punishment. You're not being made an example by anybody. They didn't have to do any of that, so they're wasting taxpayer money? It is their job to do what they're doing. Please, for the love of all that is good on this earth, just drop the martyr complex, accept responsibility for something that is your fault, deal with it, and move on.
It sucks that your wife took your kid from you. If you think she did it unlawfully, then do something about it instead of just being passive-aggressive in ways that hurt you, and your child, way more than they hurt her. If you can't handle the payment plan then get them changed. And finally, nobody is wasting taxpayer money except for you.

Her violation is between her and the courts. Whining about it to us or anyone else other than the courts or your lawyer is pointless and comes off and bratty and petulant.

As far as a driver's license not having anything to do with paying child support on time and according to the court order... jail doesn't particularly have a connection to most of the things that will land you there, either, except that it's the penalty for doing them."My in-laws are country people and at night you can hear their distinctive howl."

I remember at least two posts which stated that her moving to try and keep you away from the kid was shitty as hell, and that you should seek legal counsel over that.
I do see people calling you on some heinouse statements. And a couple of people pointing out that you are the one facing penalties right now--not her.

Why are we discussing this same shit over and over, didn't we do this once already?
If you have a paycheck then pay the damn support like you're supposed to. If you have suspicions that it's not your kid then get the paternity test done and that will erase the child support order altogether.
I have an ex that once again is missing and has a warrant out for his arrest. (they found him once, how hard is it to find him again?) I believe his license has been taken away also and now he is not able to live on his own and have a job, which kinda defeats the purpose since he can't pay the support. When they first found him he was living with some relative out in the boonies somewhere and couldn't drive so he couldn't find a job. Now all of a sudden they can't find him again, where the hell did he go with no money and no transportation? And this is all because he refused to have a steady job at the time he HAD a house and transportation and started this downward spiral. And his support order was only for 93 bucks a freakin' month.https://www.youtube.com/user/HedgeTV

Some guys (male and female) would rather be fugitives than have to give up any of the money they won't have to the ex. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
As for how he disappeared on them, not being able to legally drive does nothing to stop one from driving illegally.
