  • AFK players in multiplayer PvP games

I really hate when I'm playing a team game (World of Tanks, League of Legends, others) and one of the players just isn't there - their avatar is present, but they're not doing anything except using up a team slot that could be better used with an active player.

Lately, it's been particularly bad in World of Tanks. Every third game or so seems to have someone who is running a script that makes them join battles, but doesn't fight at all - just waits for the win or loss and "free" xp.

This is almost as bad as griefers of any stripe (team-killers, feeders, etc), but harder to spot (usually).

Get the same thing i Starcraft.

Thankfully most of the maps have a ban option.

It was common enough once Abyssea expansions came out in FFXI. Before that, 6 member parties were standard so it was easy to tell who was AFK or not. With Abyssea, standard exp parties were 18 people, so it was much harder for leaders to monitor AFKers.
