That's different. The future kids are supposed to be bored with the long-winded story, but that's more of combination narrative device and running gag.


Besides, if the story is *interesting* and you have the time for it, long is good.

Wheel of Time is still overdoing it a bit, though.

Good examples twice today (I won't get into that). My roomie will never fucking shut up. I was on break and 10 minutes straight of nothing. And she kept saying she was gonna let me go. My manager kept laughing at me everytime I hit my head on the table.
