At the mall where my boyfriend works there's a kiosk that sells hair curlers, and possibly straighteners I'm not sure cause I avoid it like the plague. You see my hair is naturally wavy, will NOT hold a curl, and the guy who seems to always be there REALLY wants to try to curl my hair. EVERY TIME I walk past he's trying to get me to let him curl my hair. Since he's right by the food court I walk by at least once a week. OMG! He's driving me nuts! If maybe he were trying to sell me a straightener I might look at what he has, but since he's got curling on the mind, leave me alone!

Had one of those set up right my path between my favourite hot chocolate place and my favourite bookshop in Dublin. Every time I walked past, they would get me to try to sit. There was no escape, the walk way was too narrow.
I have naturally dead straight hair. It will not hold a curl longer than ten minutes and a crimp lasts 15 mins (man, I hated the late eighties.) I told them no politely at first but by the 3rd week of me walking past at least once a day, I admit I became a bit narky.
In the end, I found there was another entrance to the books and walked all the way around the outside of the centre to get my chocolate fix.

Sadly there is no going around him if I'm coming from bf's job, or our apartment, or any of the buses I usually take. Only the buses the go the other direction are on the other side of the mall. Also since the mall is one of the biggest in the nation and the largest open air market in the world I don't want to walk around it to get at the other entrance to the food court.

Treat it like any other form of harassment. Next time you go by, let him know that he is not to approach you again about this and if he does, you'll be talking to security about it.

Yeah, there's some sort of hair kiosk at the mall around here. And it just HAS to be right in the middle of between Rue 21/American Eagle/Charlotte and on my way back to Macy's to where I park (I always park at Macy's, no one else parks there).
Without fail, it doesn't matter who you are with, if you're on your phone, playing with your phone, walking by as fast as possible, talking with someone, whatever.....some girl always comes up and asks "Can I show you something amazing and healthy for your hair?!"
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! You're more annoying than those people who work at the The Buckle!

You know, I wonder how many people actually buy stuff from being pestered. You'd think that if someone is just walking by on their cell phone, that they do not want to be bothered period, let alone be talked into buying somethng. But since corporate thinks that pestering people is such a good idea, maybe some people are talked into buying stuff.

This is the shopping complex I was talking about. It's pretty small, so it was easy to walk around. I can't see the hair people listed anymore.

If people need to resort to hassling people like that, the product can't be that good. And if you hassle me, there is no way in hell that I would buy anything from you.

They're at my mall too, right there near Macy's, although sometimes they move to next the Express in front of one of the food court entrances. One time the dude looked straight at me and clacked the straightener to get her. I damn near ram the res tor the way to work.
