  • Game crashes

I'm playing a game that is written for an earlier version of windows and it keeps crashing. Usually I don't have a problem with since I save a lot knowing the game crashes. Problem is where I'm at, even if I'm not in a fight it thinks I am and it won't let me save. So I just went through several fights trying to get them over with so I could save to have the game crash on me. I'm done for today. Too frustrated with it.

The Sim City game on facebook crashed on me the other day when I was using diamonds I saved up to purchase some workers. I reloaded it and the diamonds were gone, but it never created workers for my building. Sent them a message but they never did anything about it.

I have the crashing issue too. At first, it was because I was running the games at the highest video settings possible, as my card can handle it. However, I was still running XP and capped at 3.25GB of RAM. So i upgraded to Win7, bought and installed 16GB of RAM and things run smoothly for a while, until it starts to Blue Screen every once in a while. based on the error, I've got a bad DIMM. I just need to download a tester and figure out which one. Ugh...

          See the Dungeon Keeper series.

Thankfully GoG's versions work better than a raw install, but if you're trying to run either of those games raw on anything more advanced than windows 98, well best of luck to you.

Have you tried changing the compatability settings in the admin area? Ive also found that running those games in admin mode can also fix the problem.

There's a couple of easy fixes to that to be found depending on your version of windows.

I've slowly drifted further away from that game since it's second week out. It's...well, it's dreadful. And I was so looking forwards to it, but I can't deal with the immense lag and the constant spamming of non-playing friends, as well as the sneakiness with the diamonds. It's still there and I didn't leave in a huff, but...I'd rather go play the original.

I thought this was Game Crushes. My post about Samus' skintight Zero Suit will just not see the light of day.
