A women-only industrial city dedicated to female workers is to be constructed in Saudi Arabia.
The aim is to allow more women to work and achieve greater financial independence and play a more important role in the country's development, but to maintain the gender segregation.
"I'm sure that women can demonstrate their efficiency in many aspects and clarify the industries that best suit their interests, nature and ability," said deputy director general of the Saudi Industrial Property Authority.

ok it's really funny reading the responses to this, first off fence in te men either you're joking or you're a hypocrite. now this is actually probably the best to do this if you mix the gender workforces right away there will probably be rampant abuse of these women once their working and established then they can start to merge, breaking down prejudice takes time if you don't want extreme violence.

I'd also like to note that I showed my support of the segregation as a positive measure as a first step and then integration later and yet you let my comments pass without comment but call him "silly" and accuse him of sacrificing women. Furthermore, I don't think you know what "Hypocrisy" means. You say that men perpetrate the majority of abuse against women but I will note that those are NOT the men who want equality. They may be gross, but they are not hypocrites. You ARE a hypocrite. You are asking for equality, but also attacking men who dare to speak up but not the women who express the same viewpoints (me). All you seem to want is to not provide equality, but to make someone else (men) the new victims of torture, abuse, rape, and war regardless of whether they are guilty or not.

And I am extremely clear on the definition of hypocrisy. For 40 years I have heard men spout equality when they've done nothing to EARN it.

Do you want to know why there don't seem to be many men in the pro women's camp? Look in a mirror, it's because bitches like you assume we're there to take advantage of you. Also you know what? I work hard at my job, I treat my coworkers of either gender with the respect they deserve and have done so my entire life, I have never done anything but earn it.
And you want to talk abuse? Honey I've been through all kinds from both genders. Women I've done absolutely nothing to and in some cases have never even met before decided to harass and abuse me because I was fat, then there were the others who decided to just look at me with disgust like I was some sort of disgusting animal anytime I went near them, or the ones who'd get their boyfriends to beat me up because they felt like it or the ones who'd hit me and then immediately dive behind the nearest man.
How about being molested by someone on the school bus who also prevents you from switching seats, not sexually but I was at the point of tears from the abuse. Don't ever tell me what it's like to be me or what I believe or what I support or what I have fucking earned.
I stand up for the rights of all people and I have fucking earned it.
