We've got a lab that's bored out of her mind too. We just can't play with her as much as she would like (she wears us out before she wears out!!)
But we've got a new favorite toy for her: Get a tie-out chain (like the plastic coated ones you can get at Walmart), hang it up between two sturdy points (two trees, the satellite dish and the porch, whatever), and then hang a squeaky toy off it (we use a Kong ring).
Drives her batty and keeps her entertained for hours. (Only sturdy places are near the house so we hear her constantly).
