The word "fail" is a verb, NOT a noun. I'm sick of seeing it used as such. For example: The customer argued that we should stay open past closing time just for him - major fail!
Of course I will have an open mind toward the opinions of others on this topic, but my take is this: If you're too lazy too pronounce or write the full word (wow, a whole extra syllable - how can you stand it?), then don't bother saying it or writing it at all. It's not cute, rather, it's just plain annoying - as bad as text-speak.
