I really, really hate people who lie and play victim.
When they get called on their shit, they make up more shit to cover it up.

I especially hate it when they have other people taken in, hook, line and sinker.

I also hate it when they post a huge pile of lies and put words in a person's mouth, and then, when called on it with printed proof, claim that it was doctored!!!???

    Point to Ponder:

Is it considered irony when someone on an internet forum makes a post that can be considered to look like it was written by a 3rd grade dropout, and they are poking fun of the fact that another person couldn't spell?

... Okay, obviously everything you've posted points to someone with their head stuck up their ass, and that is NEVER cool... But I feel like there's a back story to this we should know? It's obviously in reference to a specific event.

Oh, just some Facebook drama. LOL

Someone I know posted one side of a story that involved an interaction with me.
It was completely slanted to their perspective, and was really pretty blatant lies.
So, I replied by copying and pasting word for word from our messaging back and forth.
The result was that I ended up blocked, and the story now is that it was all doctored. (Of course, the fact that I'm blocked form posting means that I can't post the screenprints as proof. How convenient.)

So, I foolishly logged in using an old account that I set up when I first joined Facebook and reminded the person that it was pretty unwise to call on Karma against the person one is libeling and defaming, as Karma does work both ways.
I was blocked again, and once more being libeled with an accusation that I am a troll.
But, sadly, I can't defend myself.

Anyone who can't recognize that the person blocking you and making shit up without giving you any chance to defend yourself probably isn't really anyone you want to associate with much, anyway...

It doesn't make it sting any less, but it's a good sign you don't need them in your life.

That's true, Andara, but I am a very honest person, and being called a liar cuts me to the core.
I actually pride myself on my honesty, and I am being painted in a very bad light and called a liar and a troll, when I did not behave as badly as I am being accused.

These people don't know me, that's true, and if they believe the pack of lies, then I don't want to associate with them. Still, the fact that people who don't know me think so badly of me really does make me angry.

I am a caring and compassionate person, and I am being made to look cold and heartless and vindictive.

There's nothing I can do about it.
This person seems to have the advantage.

I also find it interesting that people immediately start calling "troll" when a person posts an opposing view or calls them out on their blatant BS!

            I see it so often.

It's an easy go-to for the intellectually challenged.

Sometimes it's accurate, but most of the time it's just a buzzword used without any understanding of the underlying meaning behind it.

Oh, and as for what you can do, you can always write a piece on your own page for anyone interested in hearing your side... That way the people who actually care about balance have something to reference other than just that other take on it.

That's what I have been attempting to do, but the crap from the other person's side just keeps getting piled higher, and people are swallowing it all up and supporting the poor downtrodden soul who was being persecuted by me.
And even though I can prove it all to the contrary with facts, there is still an accusation that I doctored my quotes.

This person has to save face, you see, because they posted a blatant lie and twisted my words, and then wrapped quote tags around it to seem like I had actually said it.
Then, when I posted what was actually said, they looked rather foolish.

When a person's tower of lies is balanced that high...sooner or later (and my money is on sooner), that tower of lies will come tumbling down.

So my bet is that those people will find out soon what a little liar that person is. Although unfortunately, some of them will probably still think you're some kind of heartless troll.

The other thing is that, almost certainly, not everybody who sees their page also sees yours.

                      That's true.

I guess will have to be content to take the high road, because, as I said, I can live with myself over this. I have only been truthful in all that I posted.

I've been on the site long enough to know that things that are said (in the context of managing the site) are always going to be true. That CS.com does not just do things willy-nilly. There is always a reason for doing so.

There's someone on CS who is relatively new and posting some things that are setting off red flags in my head.

I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about here. I have nothing solid to go on, so I'm not going to report this person.

It's just almost every thread seems...off. Especially one in particular.

Sorry if this thread wasn't really meant for piggy backing, I just didn't think it was worth starting a new one over.

                            That's fine.
The other situation ran its course anyway.
I think I came out on top.
