Just a minor gripe......really annoys me that people have to make such a big deal out of the fact that I was born in this state. I know this would be more common living in a big city, but these people act like everyone who was born here moves away, so encountering a "native" is almost like seeing the Loch Ness Monster.

That mentality and attitude is prevalent here in Vegas. A lot of people move here from other states every year and a lot of young adults move out for college or just to get away from Vegas. It's rare to find someone born and raised here.

When it's put like that, it's understandable.........but it would happen that I'd be talking to a guy online who's been here in Arizona for say.....over ten years, and he would react like I was the first person he'd ever encountered who was born here.

Somewhat common over in my home state, as people leave to find work relating to their career choices (most of the jobs are eastern seaboard).
