My mother, bless her heart, to this day still knows the names of most GI Joes, half the Transformers and every TMNT character because those were my "Thing I wouldn't shut the fuck up about" when I was 6. >.>

I did do both the game splurge for hours AND the "Read for 6-7 hours a day" thing as well. ( We didn't have cable. I had books and an SNES and that was that. ).

you got him the 2ds for christmas, he's only had it for a couple months at this point, being obsessed that much is completely normal.
