About a month ago, I was at a ball game. We parked in a multilevel hotel/casino garage (ended up on the 10th floor). After the game, when we went back to our car, we came into the elevator lobby, which was PACKED. At least 2 out of the 5 elevators were out of order. The elevators that were working were stopping at every floor to let people off. We must have waited 10 minutes before we could get on an elevator.
But as annoying as this whole snafu was, it was the stupidity of some of those waiting that really tested my patience. One group just rushed into the first elevator that opened before those who were in line could even get on. Then when we finally did get on an elevator, everyone had to cram as many as they could fit into the box. Understandable considering the circumstances, but by the time we were ready to go, the elevator was packed well beyond it's capacity limit. And even though it was clear that no one else could possibly fit, one persistent jackass was determined to get on, holding things up even more. It took three failed attempts to squeeze through before he got the hint.
Also, why can't those who parked on lower levels just take the damn stairs?
