I found out the other day that I couldn't submit a cartoon that I saw that I found relevant to the thread on gay marriage as an attachment, but I don't know the actual link. Just wondering if it's possible to allow attachments at all?

Do you mean that you were unable to upload the attachment, or do you mean that you couldn't due to copyright concerns?
Generally, material that is likely copyright protected (such as the cartoon of an artist other than yourself) shouldn't be posted as an attachment. A link to its source must be provided.
Cartoons or photos that are your own original work can be uploaded as attachments. If you're having trouble with this let me know.
