When I click the "Report Post" button, there's a strong message saying that it is ONLY to be used for certain purposes. On CS, reporting posts for formatting issues (typo in a tag makes it hard to read) is also allowed (I asked some time ago). Is this use of the "Report Post" button allowed here (but somehow omitted from the list), or do we need to PM the author of the post in question?

Yeah, use it if it's a genuine reason. What you saw is almost certainly the default message that I couldn't be bothered changing. We don't get many reported posts here.

OK. When I saw that message, with what appeared to be an exhaustive list of what the button is supposed to be used for, I didn't want to use it for other purposes.
Based on your response, my understanding is that it's OK to report a post for typos in tags that make it hard to read (since the typo results in there not being a valid open/close pair of tags).Comment
