Ottawa Judge slams Strip search

an Ottawa Judge stayed (I guess that means threw out) a woman who was unlawfully arrested and suffered an "indignity" when she was forcibly strip-searched and manhandled while in Ottawa police custody. she was also left in a cell partially naked for over 3 hours.

all of the incident was on video from the arrest in the street to the jail footage

the Ottawa police dept claims a through investigation is ongoing.

unfortuneately one of the officers involved was investigated for an incident several weeks before this one took place. this involved kicking a female prisoner and tasering her inside the police facility.

Bonds said she is now thinking about launching a lawsuit against Ottawa Police.

Good for her. If the Ottawa police force is going to treat people unlawfully than they should be sued. Get them to realize that they themselves have to obey the same laws they’re suppose to uphold.
