Definitely a bad move to suspend the students - after all, from the story, the photos just popped-up after the accidental sync, rather than the students going looking for them.

One thing I did find funny, though - one of the right-side links is "Get the paper on your iPad for FREE". The headline they show displayed on an iPad (which is a mobile device) for this link? "Mobiles can give you a tumour, court rules". You'd think that a daily paper would be able to find ONE front-page headline that didn't show a negative aspect of what they're advertising.

Actually I'd have to disagree with this idea, based on the following.

It sounds to me like the brainless morons went with the following logic:

-Naked female breasts outside of a medical context are sexual.
-Sexual in this case, means porn.
-We do not want our kids looking at porn.
-Students are caught looking at porn.
-Therefore students need to be suspended in accordance with the school's internet policy.

If we're to apply the same logic to male "breasts" (i.e. male chest), no porn is involved unless the image also shows exposed cock.

Oh, that's nothing. I remember hearing about an ad for airline fares that popped up on one of the major news sites (MSNBC I think it was) during LIVE coverage of 9/11.

That one cannot really be the fault of the network. Breaking news, major national crisis... turning the advertisements off would be about the last thing I would think of if I was in that spot. Plus, major news article talking about airlines/flights/planes would tie into the word finder programs to put 1+1 together. Now, history articles/remembrance articles I would definitely take the advertisements down or really refine the word finder/matcher programs to not include certain terms.

To those saying Apple sucks because of this- it will only sync if the iCloud accounts are the same, which typically means they are using the same Apple account. Which brings up one question- if the teacher's iPhone was a personal one ( which I would assume if it had topless pics of her on it...) why was it connected to the same Apple account? The school iPad should be on the school Apple account, while the personal iPhone should be on the woman's own Apple account. as for how the photos came up- Photo Stream. The photos were taken by the iphone, and sent to every single apple device on that apple account that was compatible with photo stream.
